BBDouro started about 3 years ago to encourage the Junior Academy pupils to organize a regular cleaning of the beaches closest to Douro Marina, in Afurada.

Together with the children, older sailors and BBDouro Skippers also participate.

Our goal is to collect the garbage that comes to the coast with an almost weekly regularity, thus creating a better environment for us, but above all for the living beings that fill our Rio and Mar. Not forgetting the environment for the academy’s sailors BBDouro, who sometimes encounter floating objects while sailing.

We are moving towards an ecological, sustainable and renewable future, and that future is in everyone’s hands!
