We believe that our work at BBDouro can benefit both our ecosystem and our community. SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities
Being a business that operates in Vila Nova de Gaia and has a significant influence on Porto, we feel that we owe it to the local communities to contribute in a sustainable way. Through sailing, we encourage a sustainable way of living, and we organize a number of annual events, including the Open Day and the Vela Solidária and Vela Sem Barreiras projects.
SDG 12 - Sustainable Consumption and Production
Our eco-friendly activities are a reflection of our commitment to responsible consumption and production. We consume and market Earth Water, the first brand in Portugal to sell water in Tetra Pak cartons and which supports the United Nations World Food Program.
SDG 13 and 14 - Climate Action and Protection of Marine Life
We understand how critical it is to combat climate change and safeguard our rivers, seas, and oceans. That is why we have implemented initiatives such as cleaning up the beach at the Douro Estuary Nature Reserve, to support the preservation of marine life. We are always looking for new and creative ways to reduce our environmental effect and protect the earth for coming generations.

BBDouro ForALL is an extension of the BBDouro brand, created in 2014 with the aim of promoting social projects.

A brand of water packaged in Tetra Pak carton that supports the United Nations World Food Program.
BEACH CLEAN-UP
The monthly Beach Clean-Up is a BBDouro project that aims to clean the beach at the Douro Estuary Nature Reserve.
MOVEMBER
We’ve been supporting this cause since 2013. Not only do we grow a moustache, but we also implement various initiatives throughout the month of Movember to raise donations that allow the Movember Foundation to act against the diseases that affect thousands of men every year.
