Católica Porto was the first brand to join BBDouro, after 4 months of existence – July 2012. With three decorated boats, the use made of them is closely linked to the behavioral dimension and skills development of the students of their MBA’s and its business partners.
With the most colorful boat of BBDouro’s fleet, Cin Group, leader of the national painting market, chooses the association with BBDouro to communicate the brand in an eco-friendly way and associated to an healthy sport. This partnership began in January 2013, nearly a year after the beginning of BBDouro´s activity.
The famous Extreme Clipper-class Cutty Sark tea transporter is the latest vessel of its kind, preserved as a symbol of an era by the whiskey with the same name. The image of this boat is now sailing trough one of our sailboats along the Douro River since the brand Cutty Sark is the latest sponsor to join BBDouro´s fleet.
It is in 2021 that BBDouro welcomes in its fleet the green image of Goldenergy, and there could be no better time for the birth of this partnership: a company linked to sailing with ever greater and better defined sustainability and ecology goals, and the only 100% green energy company in Portugal. This is a union that, as stated by the sailboat that now carries the image of Goldenergy, brings to the riverside areas of Porto and Gaia that “the wind is not just for sailing”.
Landrover’s JOP dealer is now sailing the Douro River, bringing a new life to the BBDouro fleet, due to its metallic and highly reflective decoration. This boat shows JOP and Landrover’s union through the atypical front bumper grille that characterizes the latest Range Rover of the English brand.
We can now appreciate the sight of these two brands on a sailboat that can go anywhere, such as the luxury car of the new generation Range Rover.
Since 2019, with BBDouro, Lusíadas Saúde group and BBDouro have increasingly navigated arm in arm towards the social awareness and well-being of their Employees. Projects such as “Vela Solidária” and “Vela Sem Barreiras” challenge the brand to contribute to a greater good and actions such as the Employee Experience Algarve 2021 or the annual event with Employees and their Families that show unparalleled care for their Teams. In 2021, the two brands created the First Accessible Regatta in Portugal, in the 2nd edition of the Lusíadas Saúde Porto Sailing event, which involved two competitions and social moments on land and water. Now, Lusíadas Saúde, on the BBDouro boats, no longer communicates only its original motto “We know how to take care” but its absolutely realistic evolution: “We know how to take care of Everyone”.
The beginning of this partnership matches with the process of a rebranding (September 2013) which led to the new brand of the group; NORS. The christening of the NORS boat was a celebration reason for more than 50 employees, including managers and employees of several countries. Its association to the sport of sailing began several years ago and the NORS boat is used for improving and developing skills of employees, being the boat branding also a distinctive element.
The association between BBDouro and Redifogo comes from 2013, through our Sailing Cup Regatta. Being a fundamental part in all the security features of BBDouro, Redifogo has a branded boat, since 2015, sailing safely in the Douro River.
