Católica Porto was the first brand to join BBDouro, after 4 months of existence – July 2012. With three decorated boats, the use made of them is closely linked to the behavioral dimension and skills development of the students of their MBA’s and its business partners.
With the most colorful boat of BBDouro’s fleet, Cin Group, leader of the national painting market, chooses the association with BBDouro to communicate the brand in an eco-friendly way and associated to an healthy sport. This partnership began in January 2013, nearly a year after the beginning of BBDouro´s activity.
The famous Extreme Clipper-class Cutty Sark tea transporter is the latest vessel of its kind, preserved as a symbol of an era by the whiskey with the same name. The image of this boat is now sailing trough one of our sailboats along the Douro River since the brand Cutty Sark is the latest sponsor to join BBDouro´s fleet.
By seas never sailed before, the Lusíadas Saúde group is now debuting as the latest brand to join BBDouro’s fleet. You´ll be able to watch this new boat, also blue, sailing along the Douro River with the group´s message “We Know How to Care”. This group aims to improve the performance of the health system as well as the health and overall well-being of its clients and those close to them. After all, this motto goes along with the philosophy of BBDouro, where the clients necessities come first.
For many years now, all over the world, great watch brands have joined the sport of sailing and in Porto it couldn´t be different. Marcolino Relojoeiro is the leader in the representation of the most selective international brands of watchmaking and jewelery and has existed for more than 90 years. Elegance, sophistication and exclusivity are some of the values of this brand and that is what they will be transmit with the boat decoration that will sail from the river Douro, with the colors of Marcolino.
The partnership between BBDouro and Mike Davis comes in a very natural way: a sailing academy and a brand that has its history linked to sailing sport, from the first steps of windsurfing in Portugal to some of the great high competition projects of the our country. After a few years sponsoring one of our sailboats, Mike Davis is now responsible to support the Youth Sailing Academy, dressing our Optimists with the brand´s distinctive colors. Whenever you see the little red sails in the middle of the river, you´ll know that there are our future great sailors.
Montepio Geral – Associação Mutualista is the largest association with a mutual base in Portugal. So it is with great pride to have as Main Sponsor of our Vela Sem Barreiras project this company that believed from the beginning in this project that aims to improve the lives of people with physical and / or motor limitations. The boat, unlike any other for being a catamaran designed from scratch for the purpose of the project, now walks with the message “Together for Everyone”.
The beginning of this partnership matches with the process of a rebranding (September 2013) which led to the new brand of the group; NORS. The christening of the NORS boat was a celebration reason for more than 50 employees, including managers and employees of several countries. Its association to the sport of sailing began several years ago and the NORS boat is used for improving and developing skills of employees, being the boat branding also a distinctive element.
“This is the energy that others don´t have” but BBDouro’s Vela sem Barreiras project now has it. OZ Energia joins this innovative project as an official partner and now brings hundreds of young people and adults with disabilities to the Vela sport, in which the brand has a long history of support in Portugal.
Porsche Centers of Porto and Braga have invested in the decoration of a boat in order to work brand awareness from the Douro River. With a boat that easily identifies the brand, Porsche Centers of Porto and Braga also want to give the opportunity to their customers and colaborators of having an experience in a “sports boat” that, like their cars, uses energy, in this case the wind, in the most efficient way to produce movement.
The association between BBDouro and Redifogo comes from 2013, through our Sailing Cup Regatta. Being a fundamental part in all the security features of BBDouro, Redifogo has a branded boat, since 2015, sailing safely in the Douro River.
